Where elopements used to be secretive and about running away, couples nowadays elope as a way to fully celebrate their union in some of the most beautiful places on earth. An elopement is a small, yet magical wedding experience in which it’s all about the couple, rather than the experience of the guests. While hiring a videographer for your elopement may not be the first thing you think of, here are some things to consider about eloping and why hiring a videographer is still a must!

        1. Eloping keeps the focus on you and your partner.

As a videographer, I’ve seen it all; big sophisticating weddings with a 5-foot cake, weddings that act as a happy family gathering, and small elopements with just a handful of people. It’s not about the size, it’s about the experience between you and your partner, and an elopement can be just as magical as a big traditional wedding! People often think of eloping as “less than” when in reality it can be so much more. If you want your wedding experience to be solely focused on celebrating your love with your partner, than perhaps an elopement is right for you!

It’s not about the size and your budget, it’s about the experience and an elopement can be just as magical as a big wedding if you hire the right videographer.

        2. Be One with Nature

Eloping enables you to say your vows in some of the most beautiful places on earth! One thing I particularly enjoy about elopements, is that most of them connect with nature in some way. Have you dreamt about a forest ceremony with your family and friends? Then eloping somewhere special may give you the experience you’ve always hoped for. There are so many amazing places one could choose to elope, both in Washington and around the world! What better way to say I do, than with mountains, forest, or the ocean as one of your witnesses?

        3. Something Stress-Free

There is often less stress than planning a huge traditional wedding. Does planning a giant traditional wedding, picking out tablecloths, having a pristine dress, and sending out a hundred or more invitations sound like a total bummer to you? Not only is the elopement planning process often less stressful, but instead of worrying about timelines and mingling you’ll get the chance to plan an adventure with the person you love most! Eloping means you’re able to make decisions that feel authentic and true to you and your partner. The only opinion that truly matters is yours!

        4. Something to Remember

Your elopement is STILL your wedding day, and it should still be honored in the same way. It’s your special day in which you officially decide to spend the rest of your life with your significant other. If you didn’t want it to be a special day in the first place, then why would you elope? Hiring a videographer to film your event is something you will be thankful for when you want to relive this moment. And if not for you, then it’s something to share with the family and friend that wasn’t there to personally witness. An elopement video is something to share and cherish.

        5. Enjoy the Company

While a big wedding may be enjoyable, it’s not doable to try and connect to every one of your hundreds of guests. An elopement if often much smaller and therefore it’s easier to sit down and have a chat with one of your guests. I’ve seen people having much more fun at small gatherings than at massive weddings. If you want to enjoy the company of others, an elopement is the way to go!
